I returned to my hometown many times, but this time I decided to visit the State Public Library of Minas Gerais that was so important during my childhood and adolescence. The library, an architectural project by Oscar Niemeyer, still impresses me. As soon as I entered, I noticed some changes here and there, but one thing is for sure, the smell is always the same, and it brought me countless memories. Guided by employees, I had the pleasure of visiting the collection of historical documents of great relevance to the cultural heritage of Minas Gerais and Brazil.I can’t explain the happiness I felt holding my book while pictures were taken. It was indeed an unforgettable moment in my life.
